Retsecrows release new single, Maniac
Retsecrows, the young Midlands rock/metal band rapidly building a reputation for explosive live shows, released their new single Maniac TODAY (Tuesday 10 March 2026)
The track marks the band’s first new original music in over 12 months, following a period where the four-piece have focused heavily on performing live and developing their sound on stage.
Over the past year Retsecrows have played regularly across the Midlands and beyond, refining Maniac in front of crowds where it has quickly become a standout moment in their set.
Maniac was produced by Jay Shredder (Saxon / KK’s Priest) and recorded at his SLL Studio near Kidderminster, capturing the band’s raw energy while sharpening the heavy riffs and punchy hooks that define their sound.
Retsecrows are made up of four teenage musicians: Luca (vocals/rhythm guitar), Lily (bass), Ollie (lead guitar) and George (drums). Since forming in 2022, the band have played over 50 gigs, steadily building a loyal following through relentless live performances and a mix of original songs alongside high-energy rock and metal covers.
Speaking about the new single, Luca said:
“Maniac has been part of our live set for a while and people kept asking when we were going to release it. We wanted to make sure it captured the energy we feel on stage, and working with Jay really helped bring that out. It’s heavier than what we’ve done before and feels like the next step for us.”
The release arrives as Retsecrows continue to build momentum heading into a busy year of shows, including festival appearances and further new music already in development.
With Maniac, the band signals the start of a new chapter and it won’t be long before more follows.
The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.
